EFEHR follows, as far as the data-providing institutions and projects allow, an open data policy. This refers not only to licensing but also to technical interfaces: as far as possible, we provide not only interactive frontends for viewing the data, but also documented APIs and web services that allow advanced users to build their own applications directly on top of EFEHR data services.
EFEHR leverages established formats and service standards where adequate: results are provided as JSON and NRML (the OpenQuake Natural hazards' Risk Markup Language), and services follow RESTful principles and OGC standards.
We provide access services for hazard results (maps, curves, and uniform hazard spectra) through a REST API, as well as OGC web services for map-based access. Both are documented using the OpenAPI specification, which supports interactive exploration of the endpoints as well as automatic generation of service clients:
